Microdermabrasion

Diamond Tome™ is your skin’s best friend.

Aging and exposure to the sun take their toll on our skin, creating lines, wrinkles, and changes in texture and colour.

This can affect the face as well as the neck, chest, cleavage, arms and hands. Now, micro-exfoliation can reduce the effects of aging with state of the art Diamond Tome™ wands from Altair Instruments Inc.

The Diamond Tone™ wand combines the polishing action of diamonds with the cleansing action of vacuum suction.

Micro-exfoliation reduces wrinkles and improves skin texture and colour around the eyes, lips and neck by removing the topmost layer of skin, and by stimulating the elastic tissue beneath the skin’s surface creating a healthier and firmer appearanc.

Microdermabrasion

An excellent alternative to chemical peels, micro-exfoliation is non-invasive, painless and requires no recovery time. Leading plastic surgeons and dermatologists regard the NewAppeel™ system as gentler and more effective than other exfoliating systems.

The duration and number of treatments varies depending on skin type and condition. Results are gradual but highly effective. Most people experience softer, smoother skin after their first treatment.

Ideal for a special event or as part of a program of overall skin rejuvenation.

Normal activities may be resumed immediately after treatment.

One treatment takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes.

To maintain the results of Micro-exfoliation, your technician may recommend several follow-up sessions.

If after treatment your skin begins to peel, normal due to cell regeneration, your technician will also recommend the use of a sunscreen and hydrating cream.

Because there is a risk of scars or other skin injuries micro-exfoliation is not recommended for patients who are currently using or have used Accutane acne medication six months prior to the start of treatments.

Patients suffering from herpes labialis are advised to take the appropriate medication before receiving the treatment, as micro-exfoliation has been known to stimulate the virus.
